Paintings from Tagore

Rabindranath Tagore also was a famous painter, many people outside of India only think of him as for his accomplishments in literature and for his Nobel Peace Prize.  But, Tagore was also a talented painter.  He didn't start painted until he was around 60 years old.  Speculation has it that by then he was even partially color blind.  Over the next 13 years Tagore would create over 2,000 paintings and sketches.  Tagore's Paintings
